Tickets

The Elgin Theatre Company offers several different types of tickets and ways to purchase tickets.



Single admission tickets

Single admission ticket prices are: Adult: $20.00 - Students/Senior (65 and over): $18.00



Season tickets

Season ticket prices are: Adult: $50.00 - Student/Senior (65 and over): $45.00.


Season tickets are totally flexible and may be used for ANY four (4) performances during the season. YOU choose which performance you would like to see!



Sponsorships

The Elgin Theater Company offers several levels of sponsorship. Please call (847) 741-0532 for information.


Groups

For groups of ten (10) or more single admission tickets are $15.00 for all individuals. All members of the group must attend the same performance. Groups must reserve their tickets in advance. Please call (847) 741-0532 for more information and to make group reservations.


Ordering tickets

Tickets may be purchased:


  • over the telephone - see the 'contact' page for the telephone number

  • by mail - see the 'contact' page for the mailing address

  • at the door on the day of a performance

  • on-line - see the 'on-line ticket ordering' section below


Tickets can be paid for with:


  • cash

  • check

  • money order

  • travelers checks

  • Downtown Neighborhood Association of Elgin vouchers

  • credit or debit cards


Please do NOT mail cash.

Please make checks and money orders payable to "Elgin Theatre Company."

There is a service charge of one dollar ($1.00) per order if using a credit card or debit card to pay for tickets ordered over the phone, by mail, or at the door at any performance.


On-line ticket ordering

Tickets may be ordered on-line for either all three productions during the season or for a single performance. To order tickets on-line do the following:

 

  • Find the section for season tickets or single admission tickets. The season ticket section contains one section titled '2018-2019 season tickets'. The single admission section contains multiple entries titled with a performance date for the play. Each entry also contains an 'add to cart' button.

  • Between the entry title and the 'add to card' button there is a line titled 'adults' (the default ticket type), a ticket price, and a 'v' to the right of the ticket price. Check on the 'v' on the right of the 'adults' line, as needed, to display 'seniors/youth', and then click on 'seniors/youth' if you wish to purchase a seniors or youth ticket.

  • Then click on the 'add to cart' button. A new screen will appear.

  • Specify the number of tickets of this type you desire.

  • Click on 'continue shopping' to order more tickets or click on 'check out' to go to the payment screen.

  • On the payment screen enter the credit card or debit card information requested.

  • Click on the 'pay now' button to complete your order.

 

Note: All tickets will be held at the theater box office where they can be picked up on the day you attend the performance. Tickets will not be mailed to you.

Box office

The ETC box office opens about 1 hour before every performance. The box office sells single admission and season tickets. Tickets purchased on-line can be collected at the box office.


Seats

All seats are general admission. There are no reserved seats to ETC productions. There is no seating chart for the theater as the number and location of seats changes for every play.


Refunds

Single admission tickets may not be refunded or exchanged, all sales are final. Season tickets may not be refunded, but may be exchanged for any other performance of a given play (if space is available), or for any future play (if space is available) during the remainder of the current season.


Donations

Ticket sales alone are not enough to support our programs. The Elgin Theatre Company also depends on:

 

  • donations from individuals,
  • donations from local businesses,
  • grants from foundations, and
  • grants from public bodies

 

to fund our productions.

 

If you would like to help support the Elgin Theatre Company your gift of any amount will help us carry on our efforts. When you make a donation to the theater you are supporting cultural development in Elgin.

The Elgin Theatre Company is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your charitable contributions to our theater may be tax deductible, to the extent allowed by law. If you are an individual or a business and would like to donate, any amount you give will be greatly appreciated.

  • Enter the amount you’d like to donate.
  • Choose your form of payment and complete the required information.
  • You will receive an email from us confirming your donation. Keep this for your records.

Donating by Check

  • Write a check for the amount you’d like to donate and make it payable to Elgin Theatre Company.
  • Mail your check to the address listed below. Be sure to include a short note that indicates this is a donation to Elgin Theatre Company. We’ll mail a receipt to the name and address on the check.
